VP Engineering

Kextil is seeking a VP of Engineering. This position carries the opportunity to shape the company’s software as well as become a significant equity owner. The company has already developed a robust sales pipeline, and is now starting work on two pilot deployments with multi-billion global companies. The VP of Engineering will have the ability to draw upon the experience of an actively involved world class technical advisory board. 

The VP of Engineering will be Kextil’s lead engineering resource with overall accountability for delivering Kextil’s v1.0 release of speech based intelligent interfaces. Initial products will support field service applications in both locally hosted and cloud based environments interfacing with corporate CRM systems and other sophisticated information management systems.  The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who thrives in unstructured environments and seeks the challenge of creating a truly innovative application. From a capabilities standpoint, that candidate will understand database interfaces, human machine user interfaces, and programming and design processes appropriate for the delivery of enterprise level applications. The candidate will also have a strong appetite for learning leading edge speech recognition and dialog system methodologies.

Job Details:

  • Accountable for definition, integration, and implementation of human-machine interfaces leveraging speech technology and corporate IT infrastructure to create reliable, useable, and efficient systems
  • Manage the relationships between customer requirements, Kextil designs, and technological capabilities within the corporation
  • Define and document project objectives, requirements, schedule, risks, and cost
  • Co-ordinate user-interface, engineering, IT, and speech resources to insure timely deliverables
  • Deliver monthly status reports with an analysis of current capabilities, projected deliveries, and choke points requiring additional resources
  • Provide support and feedback to marketing in customer education, product definition, and schedule creation
  • Act as a creative member of the engineering team in human interface, speech interface, engineering implementation, and design as appropriate
  • Assist in identifying resources to complete projects and products in the Kextil development paths
  • Act as the lead coding resource for first 6 months

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience leading the development and successful release of enterprise software products generating at least $1 million in revenue per customer
  • A BS in Computer Science, engineering, or related scientific or technical field from top tier program
  • 5 years of Project Management or Engineering Management responsibility, including hands-on development of customer-facing products
  • Experience with application integration to corporate or other database systems
  • Experience in managing cross-functional teams of diverse subject-matter-experts
  • Demonstrable competencies in coordinating and managing cross-discipline projects
  • Excellent communications skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to build, lead, develop, coach, and motivate a project team
  • Willingness to travel as required
  • Aptitude for learning and using new tools, programming languages, and software design and tracing systems
  • Comfortable with presentation software, and the ability to speak in public

Desirable qualifications:

  • Masters or PhD in Computer Science or related field
  • Business and/or technical experience with speech recognition technology
  • Experience managing mobile device software projects
  • Technical understanding of mobile and embedded architectures
  • Experience with SAP/Oracle/Siebel or other enterprise level systems

Principal Speech Technologies Developer

 

Kextil is seeking a Principal Developer. This is an opportunity to shape the development of our v2.0 release of speech based intelligent interfaces. Initial products will support applications in both localized and cloud based environments interfacing with corporate CRM and other sophisticated information management systems.

Job Summary

This position is focused on increasing the capability of the Kextil solution to efficiently work with a wide array of enterprise information, data, and systems.

Key Qualifications

  • Experience with language technology, including text and natural language processing

  • Excellent skills in current programming languages (C++, Java, etc.) and development tools

  • Facility in scripting languages (Python, Perl, JavaScript, etc.) and markup schemes (XML, etc)

  • Excellent software engineering skills

Desirable Qualifications

  • Previous experience with relevant technologies: NLP, ASR, dialog.

  • Familiarity with statistical techniques, including evaluation and machine learning

  • Familiarity with industrial maintenance procedures

  • Experience with Voice User Interfaces, Graphical User Interfaces, or other human/machine interactions.

Description

Duties include taking principal responsibility for the development of system architectures and workflows, implementing key technologies and integrating other (e.g. customer) systems with Kextil. software.  The candidate will actively collaborate with the CTO team and others to develop and evolve system specifications, and will manage documentation efforts. The successful candidate will actively participate in all phases of development, including testing and interaction with clients.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computational Linguistics preferred, other scientific disciplines accepted.

  • Master’s degree in Language Technology, Computation Linguistics or Computer Science

Senior Software Engineer

Kextil is seeking a Senior Software Engineer. This is an opportunity to lead the development of our v2.0 release of speech based intelligent interfaces. Initial products will support field service applications in both thin and thick client environments interfacing with corporate CRM and other sophisticated information management systems.

Kextil is breaking new ground in the applicability of speech based systems. To accomplish this we are innovating along three primary paths- dynamic content creation for use by a speech system, knowledge representation, and dialog system development. We are focused on solving large economic problems at global companies, and our initial pilot with a global medical equipment manufacturer is going live this summer.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports all aspects of our application initiatives from project scope definition through requirements analysis, functional and technical architecture, design, product configuration, QA, UAT and product deployment.
  • Investigate reported software problems, conducts tests to isolate problems and root cause.
  • Ensure the products can be used by large enterprises. Ensure enterprise quality for aspects such as performance, scalability, serviceability, and ease of integration.

Customer Success Manager

Kextil is looking for a strategic, action oriented, and results driven Customer Success Manager. A Customer Success Manager is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction by proactively assisting the customer in maximizing the value received by the Kextil solution. The role will also be responsible for driving customer adoption from training through long-term use. You will be a trusted advisor to the customer and a product expert in Kextil’s technology and value.

Inside Enterprise Sales Manager

Kextil is seeking an enthusiastic and talented Inside Enterprise Sales Manager. This person will build qualified sales opportunities focusing on Fortune 1000 level prospects. We are looking for candidates with a passion for winning and a proven track record of success.

Responsibilities:

  • Establishing, developing, and growing new business relationships over the phone supported with email
  • Meeting monthly, quarterly, and annual pipeline development objectives primarily over the phone
  • Providing timely and accurate information to management such as forecasting
  • Utilizing and leveraging Salesforce to manage accounts and opportunities effectively and in a timely manner
  • Generating supporting materials to facilitate sales goals
  • Developing and working toward daily, monthly, and quarterly KPI metrics such as calls made, talk time, and opportunities generated

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 3+ years Inside Sales or Sales Development experience at enterprise software company
  • Demonstrable track record or new business pipeline generation, telemarketing, lead generation and cold calling within the enterprise space

  • Ability to handle objectives and ask probing questions that surface business pain and confirm buying capabilities
